Kitchen

The kitchen is a glorious place in which you come up with your own style of foods that you love to cook. This is a place where you will spend a good amount of time whether if you’re cooking or just plain looking for some food. This is also a place that your friends or family will definitely take a good look at. So make it spacious and elegant or make it crazy and vibrant! Whatever your style may be, Homemajestic will help you find it.

Monchrome Home

Recently, I collected a lot of  photos with monochrome homes and I decided to put a photo with every room in the house and create my own house combining photos from different houses. First of all, I chose this living room, because it is almost all black and intimate. Of couse, I choose an all white bedroom, because you know me, my love for all white rooms. The kitchen is more white, with different textures. All blue for the bathroom, to make me feel like I am beside the ocean every time I have a shower.

Romanian vs American Tradional kitchen

The kitchen is probably the place where you can find out good stories, where family meet at the end of the day. There are not so many things to say about this two type of kitchens: If you are Romanian, as I am, you know for sure how it looks: a lot of wood, traditional carpet, painted pots. The American one has the little bar where you can prepare food, surrounded by chairs, it is as simple as possible, not too many colors. The styles of these two are totally different, the american one is as luxurious as possible, with modern furniture, but the romanian one is simple, is trying to put in value the traditional style of Romania (a lot of colors, nature, wood, brick). I love the romanian one more, because of its positive vibe.

Creative Kitchen Luster

When it comes to be creative I am the first one who raise the hand. I love creative people and when I go to a new home I hope I will see some creativity. There are some kitchen luster made from forks, glasses and a lot of other kitchen objects. I think you should be bold to use one, but it is something that I would love to see in everyone’s kitchen. I usually saw these type of lusters in restaurants, but I think they would look AMAZING in our house   I’ll show you some different designs to make an idea. Personally, I would choose the one made from jars or glasses. Are you courageous enough to place a luster like this in your kitchen? If yes, which one?

Apartments designed for young families

When you are just married and you will finally buy your own house for living with your husband/wife you want to find the perfect one. At first, I advise you to search for smaller apartments, not bigger ones but designed for younger people. For example, a bathroom equipped. When buying a house for a younger family I think about investing a lot in the technology, not the house itself. I mean, smart lights and TVs, a music player and a lot of gadgets. I also think about making the home more cozy, use a lot of photos with us in house, try to use more colors for room décor and also personalize it for your own pleasure. Your bedroom should be technology-free, just a place where you two can relax and talk about future plans. Feel it with plants to send you more energy by only looking at them, and [ Continue reading ]

Feminine apartments

Women are defined as sensitive, fragile human beings and these qualities can be reflected in the way they design their own home. I can imagine that the perfect space for a woman is a clear and spacious one with white, light pink or purple furniture, carpets and wallpapers. As home decorations they would probably love to fill the house with flowers, mirrors, gold or silver vases and photo frames. Another innovation can be a romantic corner where she would like to stay with her husband/boyfriend, like a fireplace in front of which she can place a fur carpet. The Victorian style is also something that women choose when it comes to decorate their home. It is this possible because the Victorian style it is also represented by a woman? (The Queen Victoria)

Bookshelf Ideas

From brilliant bookshelves built into stairs to floor-to-ceiling libraries, these bookshelf ideas for living rooms, the study and beyond are just as inspiring as the tomes that fill them. Fancy creating a clever book nook of your own?  As a person who reads a lot, I recommend that ,if you read a lot too, to design your own bookshelf, to make it as big as you want.Maybe you want to recycle an old piece of furniture like an old storage for an vintage look. For an industrial look you can use a lot of wood to make your bookshelf.

The Staircase

Come and see how people have turned this architectural lynch pin in to a thing of beauty which, that can set the decorative tone of an entire house. Come and scale the dizzying heights of staircase design. To me, it seems a beautiful, inspirational, creative idea, one that I would adopt if I had a house.  Jessica Doyle has a guide to staircase in which she give you lots and lots of ideas and she is the one who inspired me to write this article.

Casa Xixim by Specht Harpman Architects

Description by Specht Harpman Architects This residence, on a narrow lot fronting a protected bay in Tulum, Mexico, was designed to be fully self-sufficient, and to immerse the occupants in the range of environments that the site offers. A narrow path brings visitors through dense vegetation to a large living / dining / kitchen space that is fully open to the beach beyond. Four bedrooms, above and adjacent to this space, can also be fully opened to the exterior. The transparency of the house allows prevailing winds to flow through and provide cooling while maximizing views of the site. The house is powered by a photovoltaic canopy that shades a large rooftop terrace. This terrace also collects rainwater that is filtered and stored for use. Other roof areas are planted with native species that provide insulation and screening. All waste is processed through a digester and artificial wetlands system. The [ Continue reading ]
