Monchrome Home

Recently, I collected a lot of  photos with monochrome homes and I decided to put a photo with every room in the house and create my own house combining photos from different houses. First of all, I chose this living room, because it is almost all black and intimate. Of couse, I choose an all white bedroom, because you know me, my love for all white rooms. The kitchen is more white, with different textures. All blue for the bathroom, to make me feel like I am beside the ocean every time I have a shower.

Victorian Residence in Sydney

This four-bedroom Victorian residence in Paddington, Sydney, Australia has been recently converted into a sophisticated family home with contemporary amenities. Renovated by architect Luigi Rosselli, the residence features 231 square meters of living space, as well as inviting outdoor entertaining areas, a gas-heated swimming pool and off-street parking for two cars. The lush landscaping at the rear provides a verdant backdrop to family life. Damp, dark and introverted, the initial home on the site was given a vibrant contemporary personality, while staying true to its classic origins. oor entertaining areas, a gas-heated swimming pool and off-street parking for two cars. Ecological Houses

In another post of mine I spoke about how to incorporate the nature in your house if you love it so much and you want to live around a forest, or surrounded by flowers and plants. I also think that if you love nature you should choose an ecological house. What is actually this ecological house? An ecological house is modeled on the energy and material flows of natural ecosystems, and thus enhances rather than degrades the environment. . It also produces resources, or at least gathers and stores more of them than it uses. The “extra” resources are distributed back into the larger environment to support life elsewhere. How does it sound to you? To me, it sounds like living a more healthy life, because by building a house like this you will help the environment, you will reduce the amount of pollution. Do you want this type of [ Continue reading ]

Simply Styling

I declared my love for simply things in every single post I wrote here. So, here I am, declaring it again and again. But this time I will be more specified and I will show you some ideas of how to decorate your house to look as simple as possible and as fancy as possible. If you ever thought that simple and fancy are two opposite things, well, let me show you they aren’t. Tips: – Always take photos of your home, and where you think are a lot of things remove one; -Be careful with the details; -Don’t agglomerate things.

Bookshelf Ideas

From brilliant bookshelves built into stairs to floor-to-ceiling libraries, these bookshelf ideas for living rooms, the study and beyond are just as inspiring as the tomes that fill them. Fancy creating a clever book nook of your own?  As a person who reads a lot, I recommend that ,if you read a lot too, to design your own bookshelf, to make it as big as you want.Maybe you want to recycle an old piece of furniture like an old storage for an vintage look. For an industrial look you can use a lot of wood to make your bookshelf.

Space theme, a new idea for home decorations

It’s been 45 years since the infamous Apollo 13 mission. Hollywood made a movie about it and with the exception of the first Apollo spaceship that landed on the Moon, this is probably the most famous of them all. And knowing this trivia is just another clue that we are passionate, almost obsessed, with every detail involving space, spaceships, planets, stars and much more. There is something beyond spectacular and mysterious about the unknown that is above us and we want to transcend it as best as we can. So we bring it close, transfer it into minor details of our existence, make it part of our day to day life. And how can we do this? Interior designers gave us the answer by offering a wide range of home decorations, all of them sharing a common theme: space. With these new decorations you can bring the Milky Way and [ Continue reading ]

Romanian vs American Tradional kitchen

The kitchen is probably the place where you can find out good stories, where family meet at the end of the day. There are not so many things to say about this two type of kitchens: If you are Romanian, as I am, you know for sure how it looks: a lot of wood, traditional carpet, painted pots. The American one has the little bar where you can prepare food, surrounded by chairs, it is as simple as possible, not too many colors. The styles of these two are totally different, the american one is as luxurious as possible, with modern furniture, but the romanian one is simple, is trying to put in value the traditional style of Romania (a lot of colors, nature, wood, brick). I love the romanian one more, because of its positive vibe.
