5 Luxury Hotels From Europe

When you want to travel somewhere abroad, you also want to stay in a comfortable hotel. Of course, not for all of us a luxury one is accessible. But for the ones who accept to stay in such a hotel I have some luxury ones to present to you; I also have to say that all the hotel I will present in this post are from Europe. 1. Adlers Hotel in Austria ‘With breath-taking views of the Tyrolean mountains, all 75 rooms and suites offer an individual perspective of Innsbruck and the Inntal Valley.’ -> That’s what they promise to us. Sounds great or not? My favorite part is the views. 2. Also, if you are a Game of Thrones fan you’ll love [ Continue reading ]

Ceramic House

The ceramic House was the idea of the Spanish architect Hector Ruiz – Velazquez and it is not an actual house, but rather a small apartment in Madrid. These apartment doesn’t have any entry from room to room, no doors. The idea of the architect being to ease the communication between family members in different rooms. Although I used the term ‘family’, the architect Hector says that this apartment is dedicated to those who live all by themselves, because the apartment itself it’s not big enough. The interior is all white because almost everything is made with cerami, and I suspect that the apartment temperature is lower (because of ceramic wall and floor).

The Art Of Arranging The Mirrors

If we talked about feng shui in the last article , I thought to choose a piece of this art , namely arranging mirrors to talk about. Mirrors are used in interior decoration thanks to its ability to visually enlarge the room. According to Feng Shui the principles must be to place mirrors to reflect only things positively charged objects . For example , indoor plants , a painting representing nature etc.How and where you should not put mirrors: 1) It is not advisable to have mirrors in the bedroom; 2) Mirrors should not reflect the front door; 3) Mirrors must not reflect any bathroom door or the kitchen; 4 ) Mirrors should not reflect corners of the furniture , columns or beams.

The Staircase

Come and see how people have turned this architectural lynch pin in to a thing of beauty which, that can set the decorative tone of an entire house. Come and scale the dizzying heights of staircase design. To me, it seems a beautiful, inspirational, creative idea, one that I would adopt if I had a house.  Jessica Doyle has a guide to staircase in which she give you lots and lots of ideas and she is the one who inspired me to write this article.

By The River

One of my biggest dreams is to live beside the seaside, the river, somewhere surrounded by water. I don’t dream about a big, luxurious house, but a small and modest one with big windows from where I can see the sunset and the sunrise every single day. The house I just described is scandinavian style. They can  make a room with a simple white sofa, some white sheer curtains and a birch coffee table, look the most elegant and comfortable space !

Nishorogo teknaf by Ehsan Khan

What is the Nishorogo teknaf? It probably sounds a little bit strange and you are wondering what is this, but that’s why I am here. I am gonna explain you: The Nishorogo teknaf is a centre, located in a protected forest and nature reserve in Chittagong District in the south of Bangladesh and it was made especially to protect the forest, to promote the eco-turism. The aim of this project it’s to create as little impact to the environment as possible and I have to say that the architect Ehsan Khan succeeded. *I am sorry about the bad quality of these photos, but these were the only ones I could find.*

DIY Home Décor- RECYCLE

We know how important is recycling these days, and how good it is this for our health and economic status. I personally recycle things by doing something new from it, I don’t usually recycle in the ‘traditional way’. So, I want to show you some great and simple home décor ideas made from recycled things. 1. Flower bulb For this project you will need: -1 bulb; -Fake or natural flowers; -Twine.   Take the interior of the bulb out, wrap some twine around the end of the bulb and fill it with water. Then, put your flowers in it and you will have an original flowerpot. As simple as this! Personally, I like it in my kitchen because it gives a natural appearance to it. 2. Container holder You know those annoying meat or fish containers which we throw out immediately, because we cut our fingers in it or they [ Continue reading ]

Space theme, a new idea for home decorations

It’s been 45 years since the infamous Apollo 13 mission. Hollywood made a movie about it and with the exception of the first Apollo spaceship that landed on the Moon, this is probably the most famous of them all. And knowing this trivia is just another clue that we are passionate, almost obsessed, with every detail involving space, spaceships, planets, stars and much more. There is something beyond spectacular and mysterious about the unknown that is above us and we want to transcend it as best as we can. So we bring it close, transfer it into minor details of our existence, make it part of our day to day life. And how can we do this? Interior designers gave us the answer by offering a wide range of home decorations, all of them sharing a common theme: space. With these new decorations you can bring the Milky Way and [ Continue reading ]

Monchrome Home

Recently, I collected a lot of  photos with monochrome homes and I decided to put a photo with every room in the house and create my own house combining photos from different houses. First of all, I chose this living room, because it is almost all black and intimate. Of couse, I choose an all white bedroom, because you know me, my love for all white rooms. The kitchen is more white, with different textures. All blue for the bathroom, to make me feel like I am beside the ocean every time I have a shower.

Handsome Children’s Bedroom Design

This lovely children’s bedroom design was considered to suit for both girls and boys. The neutral colours, such as purple, yellow, ivory, white, bright wood allow the parents to be precautionary in case a second child joins the family.Generous storage spaces augument the interior. The orientation of the beds -head to head- award the assembly with rightness. The focal point of the room consists in the tree-shaped light decorative object next to the beds. This element sweetens the general ambience and brings a taste of freshness. The stripes from the walls and the circle decoration on some of the furniture items complement each other, giving the surroundings a feel of contrasting integrity. The woodern surfaces, together with the lively colours alleviate the semblance and add the needed feeling of warmth for an environment intended for children. Perfectly suitable for a child’s room, don’t you find?

Bedrooms For The Weekend

Sometimes, I just want to stay in bed all day and what do you want the most in this kind of days? A relaxing bedroom where you can clean your mind, meditate and so yoga (I recommend it). For me, there are some specific kind of bedroom that fit in this description.  The first one is The Minimalist Bedroom : all white, the branch and metal lantern are the only decor element. The second one is The lofty industrial bedroom : industrial windows and ceiling, and you can apply some of the DIYs I spoke about in a previous post. The last one is The ethnic-chic bedroom : protected in its niche from the outside world.  *you can check a previous post about bohemian style too*
