MOOE House by FCP Arquitectura

Description by FCP Arquitectura A large volume of white extended walls that recreates the trees on the lot preserving family privacy that connects with portions of forest … lots of heaven … lots of water. The lot is located in a gated neighborhood near the central area of the city of Córdoba and it showed great contrasts … .an irregular exposing corner lot that challenged us to preserve home life … .an ancient dense forest of native trees occupied half of the land, opposite to a plain stripped of vegetation. The challenge and exploration of the work aimed to amalgamate the light of the land with the programmatic needs of housing … the forest, its shadow, its intimacy … and the plain, its light, its expansion as a vacuum to overturn in architecture. A serene family life of four members with an active social life. Thus, the skin is the [ Continue reading ]

Fall Kitchen And Bathroom Decor

When it comes to kitchen and bathroom it is a little bit difficult to think about fall decor, but not impossible. I’ve done some research and I found some cute ideas. The first one is to make toothbrushes, cotton pads, candles holder *for bathroom*, and supports for salt, pepper and sugar for the kitchen; Paint some vases where you can put flowers for both bathroom and kitchen; As I said before, about the bedroom and living room decor, paintings are a good idea also for bathroom and kitchen, but in my opinion this time it should only contain quotes.

A Simple House with Style

Christian Street House by James Russell Architect: “We are fortunate to live with a benign subtropical climate. Christian Street House in Clayfield, an inner north suburb of Brisbane, sits on the east side of a rolling hill, opening its face to the morning sun and bay breezes. It’s back is buried in the hill, protected from the harsh summer sun, storms and winter westerlies. High gables make a patio to street, a covered arrival and gathering place with barn doors to living behind. Cars participate without becoming a barrier between street and life within. There are many ways to move around this place. Journey from street can take you across patio, down outdoor stairs and around garden to meals, living and water. The boys can sneek in from street via a grungy service lane, they can come and go independently. Their rooms have a more public side to garden and [ Continue reading ]

House in Yatsugatake: Prepared to see the view?

In our modern life, most of us are trying to escape from busy, crowded city and go after their work schedule to a quiet and cozy place. Kidosaki Architects Studio has found the solution of having a house a wonderful place. The house was designed on a piece of land that offers spectacular views that are rarely known, being located on a sloping mountain ridge at the foot of the Yatsugatake Mountains. Using wisely the location, house becomes an incredibly piece of modern art in building house. The house has slim, amazing appearance. Full of wide windows, the natural light could last longer and give you a guarantee for your health, as well. The rooms seems to be very airy, being enough space for a family. It is obviously that the designer save a lot of space by transforming the house`s hall in a dressing, full of shelves. Also, very [ Continue reading ]

Nirvana Bathtub Design

This more-than-modern bathtub design was inspired by the intention of reproducing the nightsky into the small “universe” of your restroom. This very model is one of the winners of The Red Dot Award 2009. The following design was conceived by Bathroom Tomorrow, a Thai company from Bangkok. The “Nirvana” Bathtub succeeds in merging the state-of-the-art technology only to offer you a memorable bathing experience. Because of its bizzare shape, this bathtub only uses 40 % of the water that an average bathtub does, aspect that makes it sustainable too. LEDs all over the surface establish the wonderful effect from the pictures. An i-Touch system controlls the lights that the company promotes. What else could be said about this allurign bathtub ?!
