Scandinavian Apartment with Greek Accents

The Scandinavian home style has made its way to everyone’s heart lately thanks to its defined and yet wild manner. Two typical features of this style- white walls and simple forward-thinking furniture are to be found in this very design too. But that’s not all. A curve ball introduces subtle accents of Greek home designing. This thoughtful mixture establishes an alluring composition with a grain of freshness. Starting in the living, the stark Scandi walls induce a minimalistic backdrop for a full host of natural Greek materials, sprinkled all over the lounging zone. Dainty foot stads complimenting scatter cushions and floor cushions, together with a large rug unite to construct a gracious semblance. The kitchen design spreads on the blue and white palette. A lenghty backsplash has been formed from a checkerboard of tiles. The furniture itself has a traditional touch. White wooden, with shell cup handles establish a bold, [ Continue reading ]

Modern Bathrooms

The bathroom is the place where we can relax and put the things in order in our mind. For me, the bathroom should be a clean and luminous space which will calm me whenever I open the door. I always imagined myself having a shower/bath surrounded by plants and bright colors. I don’t know why, but I always wanted my bathroom to be in black and white, if possible more white. I will show you some pictures with bathrooms that I like and I want to know if you like them too, or what kind of bathrooms would you like? My choice, as I said before, is a clean, white with plants bathroom + a big mirror!!

Monchrome Home

Recently, I collected a lot of  photos with monochrome homes and I decided to put a photo with every room in the house and create my own house combining photos from different houses. First of all, I chose this living room, because it is almost all black and intimate. Of couse, I choose an all white bedroom, because you know me, my love for all white rooms. The kitchen is more white, with different textures. All blue for the bathroom, to make me feel like I am beside the ocean every time I have a shower.

Architects that bring nature to your house

Wondering which design is the greatest for your new home? Pure nature! No, I am not wrong! The nature is the best home ‘accessory’. Frank Lloyd Wright was one of the most influential architects of the first half of the 20th century. Lloyd Wright died 50 years ago, but his designs are still alive. ‘Fallingwater’ is just one of his amazing houses. The team at Swat Miers Architects transformed a vision into reality, designing the three tea houses as perfect observation spots. We can notice that the principal idea of this houses is the big windows, and the raw material used for almost every object in house. Besides these two major innovations of the architects, there are many houses that bring nature inside them.

Brick houses

I always compared brick houses with grandparents houses and I don’t even know you. I didn’t have the luck to have grandparents living in the countryside so I always wanted to go somewhere where I can feel at grandparents. Brick houses are designed from raw materials and they look amazing! They give you the feeling that the architect worked so much placing every singe piece of … there. They are common for London architecture, they look vintage. I also think that a brick interior would look stunning, but I will do some research and I will talk soon about it and I will show you picture for ideas. Have you ever seen a brick house? How did you like it?

Do you want something new and innovative in your house? Here you could find the solution! Imperial, a company from Dubai, has cornered the 3D floor design market for now, but this product is too popular to remain exclusive for long. According to Imperial, liquid 3D floors are a recent innovation first used in hotels, offices, and shopping centers. However, they insist it’s a misconception that decorative screed can only be used in the bathroom or toilet – in fact, 3D floors are suitable for any room, “and even villas.” In other words, here is the idea of design your house using the new technologies.
