3 Spring Trends

If you haven’t already thought about redecorating something in your house with the arrival of spring, well now is the time! If you wonder what should you change I suggest to find places in your house which are in need of a little bit of life. The first trend I’d like to speak about is the Color White. I know, I know white isn’t really a color, but this spring you need to bring light in your house and decorating in white (and add a pop of color) is the main thing to do for a brighter home. The second trend speaks about imposing colors as green, baby blue, yellow on velvet couches and on little accessories like flower vases, a green plant, a blanket or candle jars. The last, but not the least trend speaks about decorating with a mix of patterns. I mean, try to mix something that [ Continue reading ]

Fall Kitchen And Bathroom Decor

When it comes to kitchen and bathroom it is a little bit difficult to think about fall decor, but not impossible. I’ve done some research and I found some cute ideas. The first one is to make toothbrushes, cotton pads, candles holder *for bathroom*, and supports for salt, pepper and sugar for the kitchen; Paint some vases where you can put flowers for both bathroom and kitchen; As I said before, about the bedroom and living room decor, paintings are a good idea also for bathroom and kitchen, but in my opinion this time it should only contain quotes.

Space theme, a new idea for home decorations

It’s been 45 years since the infamous Apollo 13 mission. Hollywood made a movie about it and with the exception of the first Apollo spaceship that landed on the Moon, this is probably the most famous of them all. And knowing this trivia is just another clue that we are passionate, almost obsessed, with every detail involving space, spaceships, planets, stars and much more. There is something beyond spectacular and mysterious about the unknown that is above us and we want to transcend it as best as we can. So we bring it close, transfer it into minor details of our existence, make it part of our day to day life. And how can we do this? Interior designers gave us the answer by offering a wide range of home decorations, all of them sharing a common theme: space. With these new decorations you can bring the Milky Way and [ Continue reading ]

Colors For Spring

Spring is coming and we need new inspiration, new ideas. But when it comes to decorate our room with new furniture or little decorations we have to know what colors are in trend for this year. It seems that a one color look for your room is now enough to make it look great! YELLOW Yellow is not the easiest color to decorate with, but if you get it right, yellow can be sunny and uplifting. All you have to do is to play with textures and patterns. ORANGE A more contemporary choice than strong reds, orange works best when used in moderation. GREEN Fresh, moss greens work best in a hall, garden room or conservatory – rooms that link to the outside. There are also some colors that you can use by itself: blue, pastel pink, violet.

Unit 315 or A Wonderful Loft

This apartment combines the modern and classic elements in a suitable way. I consider that this offers a wonderful view both to an architect and an unintitiated. The designers used very clever the entire space and succeeded in arranging the entire space for everything. Unit 315 is a residential project created by the Canadian builder Dennis Dorion and his wife Dorion Scott and the project is located in a former Wrigley’s chewing gum factory in Toronto, Canada, which was converted into apartments during the late 1990s. The interior of the apartment is contemporary and rich in details, integrating artistic elements with industrial ones. The predominant color on the walls and ceiling is white and a dark reflective floor offers contrast along with the dark tones of the side walls that are painted black. The overall neutral tones create a very elegant ambiance with long white curtains adding privacy and large [ Continue reading ]

Gothic Cottage by Daniel Contelmo Architects

Description by Daniel Contelmo Architects When the homeowners approached Daniel Contelmo Architects to design their new home, they knew they wanted something different. Daniel Contelmo sketched several options for them, but quickly realized that a modern style was not suitable. Inspired by the gatehouses of local estates, many of which were stone cottages, Daniel Contelmo settled on a gothic cottage design, seamlessly blending the two styles. The result was unique, an organic and whimsical home that perfectly reflected the clients’ wishes. The exterior is dominated by steeply pitched roofs and clover windows reminiscent of the carpenter gothic style, which was predominant in the area. The metal roof reflects the sky, lending an airy feeling that contrasts the stone at the base of the main entrance. Graceful arches soften the roofline and, to the right, a swooping fence lengthens the front elevation. The surrounding landscape influenced much of the design; [ Continue reading ]

Rustic and yet very fancy, [ Continue reading ]
